You might be from Minneapolis if:

  • You might be from Minneapolis...
  • If you complain about the weather but somehow you love how tough you are for living here.
  • You pretend  not to be fiercely competitive
  • you balance the arts with sports and other interests and you give a lot of standing ovations
  • You like to read
  • You know of someone going to a vigil for the cause of the moment
  • You have traveled and you like to eat out at new "ethnic" restaurants
  • You don't like to sit in the front row of any events and you avoid conflict at all costs.
  • You pretend segregation doesn't exist and you know of at least one inter-racial couple
  • you spend more money on sensible clothes as supposed to flashy trendy styles
  • You spend more time cleaning and decorating your place than inviting friends over
  • You feel superior to people in Iowa, the Dakotas and Wisconsin.
  • You are generous with your money and you volunteer
  • You think that sunny 40 degree weather is jogging weather

  1. What happens if I live in Minneapolis but I'm from North Dakota? Do I feel superior to myself?
